ABS Support Group This discussion group is a place for parents of kids with limb differences. Discussion is open. We just want to share ideas for solutions to challenges we face.

Amniotic Band Syndrome This website was developed by Ruth Maude when her son, Evan, was born with ABS affecting his left hand and with bi-lateral clubfeet. Like SuperHands, Ruth developed her Web site to help parents learn more about ABS and find support.

Birdwing by Rafe Martin. Rafe Martin has written an absorbing story, filled with dark and light. Ardwin Birdwing struggles to come to terms with his life and his destiny in a way most young, and older, readers will fully relate to. His journey along the way is filled with memorable characters and places, humor, heroism and the underlying deep magic which fills young Ardwin's world. After reading Birdwing, one sees more magic in our world as well. This is a wonderful book! (Susan McDuffie)

Helping Hands Foundation The philosophy of the Helping Hands Foundation is to provide support and information. A special bond often develops between parents, affected children and their siblings when families get together to share ideas and experiences. Family outings are planned for all to enjoy. These social events offer an informal atmosphere for parents to meet each other and for children to interact with one another. In addition, relevant topics and issues are addressed through newsletters and speakers.

LimbDifferences.org is another online resource for families and friends with limb differences.

Lil' Fingers This is a wonderful storybook site for toddler age children with games, storybooks and coloring pages. Their FREE toddler stories, activities and holiday sections are designed with bright colors and big buttons for little fingers to click on.

Starfall Learn to Read. The Starfall learn-to-read website is offered free as a public service. They also provide writing journals and books at a very low cost that can be used with the website or separately. Teachers around the country are using Starfall materials as an inexpensive way to make the classroom more fun and to inspire a love of reading and writing.

Unlimbited Possibilities This organization was founded by parents of children with upper limb differences. While there are some organizations in existence with a similar focus there were none on Long Island. They decided to meet informally for the first time in April 2003. The parents then met in June and decided to formalize the group and agreed to incorporate and our name was born "Unlimbited Possibilities". They had a picnic in July of 2003 in which thirty-six people attended. It is their desire to assist as many families as possible with the challenges of upper limb differences. Unlimbited Possibilities is based in Long Island, New York but welcome families from anywhere.
