Believe

By SuperHands Kid, Haley Thompson

There once lived a frog named Steve he loved to play tennis, so one day he hopped over to the tennis store to buy a new tennis racket so that he could practice playing his sister Nancy because in two weeks Steve was going to play tennis against his dad the famous Boberoni. He practiced and practiced but Nancy always beat him "haha I beat you, you stink at tennis" Said Nancy. "that's not nice. I just need to practice my triple jump pound shot and I'll beat you at tennis all the time" Said Steve.

A week later and now there were only two days until Steve had to play his dad and all that Steve had done that week was get worse at tennis. Even though Nancy wanted Steve to win she still would tell him that he stunk, the only reason Nancy was being so mean to Steve is because she was afraid of losing. Steve still tried to think good thoughts but one day Nancy really hurt him just by saying one sentence."you have a little hand that can't even hold the racket" she said then walked away laughing to hold back her tears because of the way she was treating her brother they both were hurting.

"Nancy" her mother yelled the next morning "time for Steve to have the big game against your father aren't you coming?" She questioned. "I'll be out in a minute" Nancy yelled. "I can't believe he's still playing even after all those mean things I said about him"Nancy whispered to herself as she was waxing her skin all covered in dirty warts. when Nancy walked out to the tennis court she saw that Steve had the biggest smile plastered on his face he had had since they got a tennis court in their front yard. When Nancy's mom told her that Steve had a long talk with them last night Nancy asked them if they were mad at her and all they said was that if she did it again she would be in big trouble. in the end Steve beat his father and was sooooooooo proud of himself that he learned to believe in himself.

The moral of this story is even though you may have a small hand like me you can still do anything a normal person can do (I can even stick my whole small hand in my mouth(I used to suck on that instead of my thumb)maybe you have something you can do that no one else can do)Your all special so go and find that thing you can do that no one else can.
